On 1 February 2020, the technical project of reconstruction of Vilnius Congress Centre was prepared.
On 4 December 2019, the agreement with the Lithuanian Jewish Community and the Committee for the Preservation of Jewish Cemeteries in Europe for the solutions and the course of reconstruction of the Congress Centre was signed.
On 9 September 2019, the contract for expert evaluation of the technical project and performance of general expertise was signed.
On 1 June 2019, the solutions of reconstruction of Vilnius Congress Centre and management of the plot of land were approved.
On 27 May 2019, a public consultation with the potential participants in the tender procedure for lease was held. During this consultation, design proposals of the building were discussed.
On 21 January 2019, the lease terms of Vilnius Congress Centre were made publicly available for the market consultation.
On 17 January 2019, the contract for the preparation of the technical project for the reconstruction of Vilnius Congress Centre and supervision of the project execution was signed.
On 9 July 2018, meeting with Paul Packer, representative of the U.S. Department of State, was held. During this meeting, the project of Vilnius Congress Centre was introduced.
On 4 July 2018, the public procurement procedure for the preparation of the technical project for the reconstruction and supervision of the project execution was launched.
On 31 May 2018, SE Turto bankas announced for public consultation the project of the terms of Vilnius Congress Centre lease tender procedure.
In March 2017, after receipt of recommendations from the Public Procurement Office, the tender procedure for the procurement of design and reconstruction works was terminated.
On 25 March 2016, the public tender procedure for the procurement of works of adaptation of Vilnius Palace of Concerts and Sports for congresses, conferences and other cultural events was launched.
On 22 January 2016, the European Commission approved the state investment in the project of Vilnius Congress Centre.
On 7 January 2016, the tender procedure for the procurement of services of technical supervision of works of design and reconstruction of Vilnius Palace of Concerts and Sports to adapt it for congresses, conferences and other cultural events and of FIDIC engineer was launched.
In October-December 2015, technical expertise of the building structures and energy audit of the building were performed, geophysical surveys of the territory of the building were carried out, and investment project was prepared. Other works were also performed: the architectural conditions of the building and the conditions of works for the management of a cultural heritage object were obtained, the building permit was re-registered and a topographical survey of the territory was prepared, etc.
On 29 September 2015, SE Turto bankas acquired to the ownership of the state a complex of the buildings of Vilnius Palace of Concerts and Sports.
On 9 May 2015, the Government adopted the resolution on the recognition of the project of reconstruction and adaptation of Vilnius Palace of Concerts and Sports for congresses, conferences and cultural events as a project of state importance.
